Great news—The Wild Rose Press offered me a contract for my
only suspense novel, Denied Origin. My paperwork has
been sent through, and I have an editor! Round one of edits
won’t begin for some time, but I’m relieved I have some kind
of date to shoot for and a very understanding editor who I’m
sure will be very easy to work with. The editing process
doesn’t scare me so much now that it’s in capable hands. I’m
looking forward to working with this publisher! I’ve heard
nothing but wonderful things about them!
I’m happy to say I have finished book two in the Louisiana
trilogy, and I have begun working on the third after putting
together rough character sketches of my new hero and
heroine. Thankfully, these characters appeared in book two
so it was easy to get into their heads and hearts again. I
hope to finish it in time to complete the wolf-shifter short
story for Red Rose Publishing by the January 1st
deadline. Wishful thinking? We’ll see!
The Harlequin Superromance Conflict of Interest Contest
finalists should be contacted no later than December 5th.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed! My entry was book one in the
Louisiana trilogy. I’d love for it to be published with
Harlequin or Silhouette who’ve been my target publishers
from the beginning of this crazy journey!
My editor from RRP has not yet contacted me. I would really
love to get the edits rolling for Fox & Hound
considering I did sign the contract back in September. I
don’t get a release date until after edits are over, and I
need one so I can make a promo schedule. I really hope I’m
contacted sometime this month.
I travel with my husband and sister to Florida next weekend
to begin research on the steamboat story. I’m very anxious
to delve into river history and visit with my grandparents!
I really need to get back to book three! Happy reading!
